Proper arena maintenance is one of the best things you can do for you and your horse.

Arena maintenance
Arena’s do not just stay in prime condition without consistent maintenance, and an on-going grooming program. The grooming and maintenance of your arena keeps the surface material in top shape preventing expensive updates in the long run.
As part of the handover of your arena, we will discuss the recommended ‘do it yourself’ maintenance requirements, and talk to you about a more comprehensive program to ensure you get the most out of your new asset for years into the future.
Comprehensive Equine offers a maintenance program that allows you to secure our services on a three-to-four-month recurring rotation (depending on your arena traffic and conditions).
Our maintenance package can include:
- Removal of weeds – applying a herbicide treatment
- Re-levelling the surface with our laser box grader
- Grooming your arena surface with our specially designed equipment
- Water application
- Ensuring proper drainage
- Incorporating surface material and footing additives when needed

Arena revitalisation
If you are no longer able to ride safely within your arena because of an uneven surface, a disturbed sub-base, weeds, or the posts need upgrading/care, we can complete an arena revitalisation to get your arena back to safely functioning for you.
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a cheap arena, and we complete a lot of arena revitalisations for people who have enlisted contractors who are not specialists in the equine industry.
We may not have been there to do the work for you the first time, however, if you book with us we will ensure your arena is given back to you in prime condition and that it is safe for you and your horse.
