Pasture revitalisation and the planting and establishment of new pasture is a complicated process that must take into consideration a variety of factors, including location, climate, average rainfalls, average temperatures, and sun exposure just to name a few.

We have specialist machinery including excavators, rotary tillers, power rakes, rippers, disc ploughs, trenchers, stick rakes, harrows and seeding machines to make this process as easy as possible.

Comprehensive Equine pasture mix

Comprehensive Equine pasture mix is our own scientifically formulated equine seed blend based on a recipe specifically to suit the unique climate in Southeast Queensland. As it’s our own product, we adjust the formula specifically to suit your property and ensure we have a combination of seed that will provide year-round pasture.

We work with our clients to ensure the seeds planted are going to provide the variety and nutrients your horses require year round.

Weed management

The management of problematic weeds is paramount in ensuring the long-term health of your pasture and your horses’ health. Effective pasture management and weed elimination is a complex, site-specific process that requires careful consideration and knowledge of differing local government requirements regarding the application of herbicides.

Land clearing

We specialise in the identification of weed/plant species to be eradicated and will develop a safe and effective routine maintenance program or once-off application to help eradicate the problem species and allow your pasture to grow.

Southeast Queensland is home to a lot of high oxalate grasses that require ongoing treatment to eradicate. We understand this and are familiar with the restrictions placed on specific herbicides within our various local government areas.

Applying specific herbicides at the relevant application rates is a process that requires specific licenses, a lot of practice, skill, and precision.

Comprehensive Equine can provide broad-spray applications throughout your property, combining multiple ‘selective’ herbicides to treat established pastures as well as being able to apply ‘non-selective’ targeted herbicide treatments to fence lines, property boundaries, and other problem areas alike. We will work alongside you to determine the make-up of the problematic weeds and advise on the best manner of application and herbicide to eradicate them.

Land clearing

Comprehensive Equine is able to provide a suite of land services to assist in the new paddock establishment process. We specialise in the removal of existing pastures/weeds, trees and brush from already established areas of land to ensure the surface is ready for your new pasture to be sown.
