Finished Height of Surrounding Square/Round Yard Fencing/Border
The surrounding of your square/round yard is something that is personal and is further dependent on what you intend to use this training yard for – that being said however, all our new yard constructions come standard with a post and rail timber finish. There are unlimited options available regarding the finished height and rail options of the surrounds of your training yard. Whether it be a ‘close to surface’ height finish or a full 1800mm high post and rail system to ensure horse and rider safety – Comprehensive Equine can construct whatever you require.
Standard Inclusions –
Drainage
One of the standard inclusions for all of our new builds and any areas of land where earthworks are required, includes the use of our laser guided box grader.
Laser grading technology enables us to precisely cut and create multiple ‘falls’ over the site (base and surface) to ensure there is the optimal amount of fall over the build site to millimetre perfection. This in turn ensures the water can disperse in the desired direction.
All exposed timber in and around your completed arena is painted and sealed with a Crib-X* product. The benefits of using Crib-X:
*If you would like a different finish applied, please inform us and we will happily arrange an alternate finish.
**Crib-X is animal, FEI and people safe.
There are a wide variety of surface options, including, sand, mixed sand/rubber, and fibre.
Many different people claim one surface is better than another, one surface is safe and the other is not, one surface is good for a horse’s legs and the other is not. There is so much misinformation circulating, it’s no wonder this very topic causes so much confusion
We believe the surface product is dependent on the activities and sports you are planning to undertake within your new arena. The finished surface and depth is something we will discuss with you to ensure that the end solution is going to suit your needs.
